Service Description

These short thirty-minute sessions are useful when experiencing illness or recovering from injury or surgery and a full session would be too taxing. These can be offered via zoom or in your chosen setting, please note a travel charge may apply. Please contact me to discuss this option. Key points: Personalisation - we focus on your unique challenges, concerns & desired outcomes adapting techniques & exercises accordingly. Flexibility - sessions can be scheduled at times that suit your needs Confidentiality - a safe space to discuss personal experiences & challenges related to mindfulness practice without the presence of others. What might happen during these sessions: Initial discussion - any specific goals or areas you want to focus on & current medical needs Guided practice - you will be guided through various practices as appropriate including visualisations, breath techniques & movement practices Please note: these shorter sessions do not cover in-depth theory, brain retraining or home practice materials (other than a recording of the session if appropriate). Whether you are struggling with anxiety, illness, sleeplessness or chronic pain, or you want to learn some strategies to simply have a better quality of life, we can draw from a wide range of Mindfulness Based Approaches (MBAs) including Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness (TSM), Mindfulness Self-Compassion (MBCL), & Internal Family Systems (IFS). As well as training in these MBAs, I also have over thirty years' experience as a meditation teacher using visualisation and breath techniques, and training in Somatic practices including Qigong Shibashi and Tapping, so we have a wealth of choice to suit your needs and personality. Cost: cost is £20 per 30 minute session

Please note that bookings are made under the terms below. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for cancellations except under exceptional circumstances. If for any reason a course or workshop is cancelled then a full refund will be offered. Mindfulness & Mindful Movement are safe and effective means to manage stress and improve physical health, strength, and wellbeing. We want you to have the best experience possible, therefore, if you have any of the following conditions or are under supervision by the mental health team / health care provider, we will require you to obtain consent from them to attend this course. If you have any of the following contra indications please either provide a letter from your mental health team / health care provider or by booking you are confirming that you have verbal consent to attend: Epilepsy, Bipolar, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Psychosis. (British School of Meditation requirements) If you have any other medical conditions that may affect your experience of this course please inform us on booking.
