Service Description

What is compassion? Why is it important? What's the difference between compassion & kindness, or empathy? Is self-care all about scented candles & face creams? This course addresses all these questions as well as exploring how to re-train the brain to recognise unhelpful self-talk & foster a more encouraging inner voice drawing on Natalie’s experience in Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness practice & Internal Family Systems theory. Over the five sessions we will cover: Being Present with ease Comfortable Compassion Kindness When life gets tricky When thoughts get tricky Building a Toolkit You will receive all materials for home practice, including a comprehensive course booklet, and audio resources. Led by an experienced accredited registered teacher, our courses are designed to help individuals develop a deeper sense of calm and clarity in their lives. Join us on a journey towards inner peace and self-awareness. Suitable for complete beginners or those who have some experience but would like to experience a compassion based course with up to date theory and science-backed practices. Weeks 1 - 5 will cover the core practices & theory An optional follow-up 30 minute online class is available after the course to help you create a daily practice that works for you in the time you have available. What's included? *five 90-minute face to face teaching & practice sessions *resources for home practice including audio & PDF guides *chat function so that you can keep in touch between sessions, share your successes and ask for guidance or advice both from your teacher and your fellow participants *material from MBSR, MBCT, ACT & MSCP programs so that you experience a taste of different mindfulness styles as well as TSM, IFS & Somatic practices *guidance from an experienced teacher If you are unsure whether to join the 5-week course, or would like to learn some meditation skills before the course starts, check out the self-study 'Meditation in 5 easy steps' short course (price £12) with videos & audios to get you started. This course can be used as a short guide to meditation on its own, or as a preparation for the longer courses.

If for any reason a course or workshop is cancelled then a full refund will be offered.
